In this Hamilton Sahib Bunglow noble laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore stayed to enjoy the panoramic view of Sundarban. Sundarban is the paradise of wild life and greenery of dense forest. The most popular attraction is the Sajnekhali Watch Tower because it enables the tourists to have a glimpse of wildlife in close quarter. There is also Mangrove Interpretation Center, Bonobibi temple and crocodile park in the Watch tower complex.
Tourists can view colourful species of king fisher in Sajnekhali Watch tower. There is a sweet water pond where different types of animals come to drink water. Axis deer, wild boars and crocodiles can be seen Sudhanyakhali Watch tower. It remains uninhabited because it is the natural habitat of tigers. Tourists can have a unique experience to watch wildlife in a canopy walk in Do banki Watch tower. This canopy walk covers a distance of half a kilometer. There is a sweet water pond where chital deer and brahmini kites come to drink water.
The next Watch tower is Netidhopani Watch tower which is associated with the mythological story of Manasamangal. There is a 400 years old dilapidated Shiv mandir. It is believed in the extreme right there was a road which was constructed by pratapaditya in order to guard the coastal area from enemy attack.
The next journey begins with boat safari to reach Burir dabri and Kalash camp & sundarban boney camp. Burir dabri is famous for mud walk. Tourists can have a view of Roymangal river and Sundarban Bangladesh area. In a nutshell Sunderban is a unique combination of dense green forests along with it the mysterious land of vociferous wild animals.

BY AIR :- Nearest airport is Kolkata that is connected by flights from major cities of India.
BY TRAIN :- Canning is considered as a gateway to the heavenly world of Sunderban which is located at a distance of 40km from Kolkata. The nearest Railway station of Sunderban is Canning. From Sealdah South Section local trains are available from 05:45hrs to 23:18hrs to reach Canning. Total 19 pairs of trains are available.
If we want to start our journey from Canning then you have to avail train from Sealdah South Section to Canning by Canning local. After reaching Canning you have to go to ferryghat by a 7 mins walk through Canning Bazar. With the help of the ferry service you will cross Matla-Purondar to Dockghat. Taking a ferry service through Bidyadhari rivers From here you have to borrow a van/share auto/48 no. bus to reach Sonakhali. Taking a ferry service through Bidyadhari rivers you will reach to the Gosaba island which is the gateway of Eastern Sundarban. Either from Gosaba in 13:00hrs we will take ferry to sajnekhali tourist lodge then to Satjeliya or from Gosaba Bazar we can borrow a rickshaw to reach pakhiralay village, from here we have to take ferry service to Sajnekhali (Tiger Reserve Project) which is situated the meeting point of river Gomoti & Pitchkhali.
The another way to reach Sundarban you need to travel by Auto Riksaw from Canning Railway Station/Canning Ferrygaht to Godkhali Ferry Ghat on the way you will cross Basanti bridge. After reaching Godkhali you have to take ferry service for Gosaba. By Van Riksaw you will reach to Pakhiralay.
By Road :- The way to reach Sundarban Tiger Reserve you need to avail the Bus from Babughat. Tourists need to avail the bus of CSTC at 06:00hrs to reach Sonakhali within 09:30hrs to reach Sonakhali. From Sonakhali you can reach Gosaba/Pakhiralay. The name suggests that harmonious chirping sound of the birds will add attraction to the panoramic view of Sunderban. From Pakhiralay one can visit Sojnekhali. WBTDC lodges are available near the ferryghat. From there one can visit the majestic world of Tiger Reserve.
Kolkata to Sonakhali buses are available at 6.00, 7.30, 7.45, 9.15, 10.45, 11.00, 11.45, 13.00, 13.30, 15.15, 16.30, 17.00hrs. Buses are also return from Sonakhali to Kolkata at 6.00, 7.00, 7.30, 10.00, 10.30, 12.00, 12.45, 13.30, 14.00, 14.30, 15.15, 15.30, 16.45hrs.
